Knowledge is power

RDM believes that knowledge is power. That’s why we have compiled a list of our favorite book recommendations that we feel you could find value in. Enjoy!

Dom

Favorite Book: “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie

Why you should read it: When asked why Dom values this book, he said, “This fantastic novel explains and supports theories into social behavior that gave me an entirely new perspective of the way to carry a conversation with someone, whether it be a stranger or a sibling.”

Elezar

Favorite Book: “Never Split the Difference” by Chris Voss

Why you should read it: “It’s about mastering the art of negotiating. It brings to light that every day you negotiate at least 4 times, and at its core negotiation is all about knowing who is on the other side of the table and how to arrive at an agreement that is mutually beneficial. The main keys to achieving this are to be an active listener, prepare for surprises, learn how to mimic, and understanding the power of “no”.

Jacob

Favorite Book: “How to Lead When You’re Not in Charge” by Clay Scroggins

Why you should read it: “How to lead when you’re not in charge talks about taking an approach to leadership that doesn’t require positional authority. For a time, anyone can use a title of seniority to command action. However, when a leader is able to come from an empathetic place building a team rather than a group of subordinates the collective group can accomplish so much more.”
